Some openings left for Lions Club charity bowling event

The Chelsea Lions Club still has some openings for more bowlers for a charity event on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. at Chelsea Lanes.

This fundraiser will benefit the Penrickton Center for Blind and the Lions Club.

“The community has donated over $3,000 in merchandise and gift certificates for door prizes and raffle items to help us out,” said Lions Club Member Keith Bloomensaat.

There will be door prizes, a 50/50, free pizza and pop and lots of bowling. Entry per team in $35, registration begins at 11 a.m. and bowling starts at 1 p.m.

The first door prize drawing will take place at noon.

You can register in advance (and receive two free tickets for a High Performance bowling ball) or on the day of the event, and there are two bowlers per team. One of the bowlers must be under 18 years old and the other must be over 18 years old.

The teams will bowl four games, but only three game scores will count.
