The Chelsea Kiwanis Club recently held its annual “Farmer’s Night,” which was very well attended and was highlighted by a presentation from the 4-H Livestock Judging Team.

Members talked about their recent trip to Louisville for the North American International Livestock Judging Contest.

“Farmers Night” is a chance for the Kiwanis Club to show its appreciation and celebrate the local farming community.

The Livestock Judging Team included 4-H members Zeke Breuninger, Kayla Holsten, Natalie Horning and Jacob Kern and coaches Joel Powers and Nancy Thelen.

The team explained their training, which included twice a week practices and a practice judging event at the Maryland State Fair. They then described their experiences in participating at the North American International Livestock Judging Contest, and went through a sample judging of Angus Heifers.
