Attention Chelsea area runners and yogis. Join Breathe Yoga for a running and yoga workshop beginning this Saturday, Jan. 23.

Over the course of 6 weeks, the group will move together toward a 5K event, learning the smart way to train our bodies to run for distance. Each week, we’ll meet first for a 30-minute aerobic session of walking, running or a combination of both, followed by 45 minutes of yoga to stretch out and strengthen all those muscle groups that participate in and complement our running goals.

Don’t be scared off by colder temperatures. Layering well, including a windproof outer layer and bringing a dry shirt for yoga will help keep you comfortable.

Experienced runners may want to join in for the yoga portion only but all are welcome to attend.

The workshop runs from 9:15 a.m. to approximately 11:15 a.m. each Saturday, Jan. 23-Feb. 27. Cost for running and yoga is $150, yoga only is $75
