Recent Obituary: JoAnne Marie Harvey

JoAnne Marie Harvey, 7/7/54 – 4/14/17.

Her journey through this life has come to an end.

JoAnne Marie Harvey passed onto her next assignment with God on Friday, April 14, 2017.

She was born in Roseville, MI on July 7, 1954. She was 62.

In 1961, JoAnne moved with her family to Chelsea. There she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, where she, along with friends, fell hopelessly into character while performing in Skits for the Mother Superior.

Moving on to Chelsea High School, JoAnne continued performing in plays. Fiddler on the Roof, and South Pacific were two of her favorites. She also played acoustic guitar, and sang, in a Folk Band with her best friends. She particularly enjoyed singing Ventura Highway by the band “America”.

After graduation, she worked for Schumns Restaurant, Braun and Brumfield, Chrysler – at the Chelsea Proving Grounds, and Meijer. Her friends remember her quick wit, shared laughter, and that she always had a warm, kind smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed.

A private, graveside service will be held at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea.
