American 1 Credit Union held its ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Chelsea Branch on Nov. 8 and appointed Rebecca Hatto as branch manager.

The new branch in Chelsea will complement the Country Market branch by offering an additional location for banking services, along with the convenience of a drive-thru and drive-up ATM.

“We’re beyond excited to offer an additional location for our Chelsea members,” said Keleigh Ballinger, vice president of Branch Operations for American 1, in a press release. “Offering an additional branch within Chelsea will allow us to fill the demand that we have seen for uncomplicated, and convenient banking in the community.”

Rebecca Hatto, who started her journey with American 1 in 2018 as the Manchester Branch Manager will lead the new Chelsea branch with her extensive banking and retail management background.

“The impact that American 1 makes on the communities it serves is powerful,” said Hatto. “As a Chelsea native, I have seen firsthand how our boldly generous lending rates, along with convenient and uncomplicated banking services, make a difference in the lives of many. I look forward to continuing to build financial wellness in Washtenaw County through my role as branch manager.”

The new Chelsea branch is easily accessible from I-94 at exit 162 and includes all the amenities of a full-service branch, including a drive-thru lane, and a 24/7 drive-up ATM.

Established in 1950, American 1 Credit Union serves over 63,000 members, including over 250 employees, with 16 branch locations across Jackson, Washtenaw, Hillsdale, Lenawee, and Wayne counties.

American 1, recipient of Forbes Best-in-State credit Union Award for 2023, is proud to serve the members of its communities by creating financial wellness through personal everyday banking.
