Susan Moore and current City Council Member Cheri Albertson have added their names to a growing list of candidates to file their paperwork for the Nov. 5 Chelsea City Council election.

Current Mayor Jason Lindauer has filed to run for his seat, and Melissa Johnson, a Planning Commission member, has filed for one of the three 4-year terms available on the City Council.

Moore, who has been a frequent attendee at City Council meetings for several years, is the current president of the Chelsea Area Garden Club. She filed to run for one of the two 2-year seats, which are up for grabs in November.

Albertson, who is the current mayor pro tem, filed for one of the 4-year terms.

It’s expected that current Council Members Frank Hammer, Marcia Parker, and Dustin Suntheimer will also file paperwork to run in November.

Current Council Member Ann Feeney has said she does not plan to run for reelection.

There are three 4-year terms, and two 2-year seats as well as the mayor’s seat up for election in November.

And, if you plan to run for office, you must specify which seat you plan to seek.

Affidavit of Identities and petitions are due by Aug. 13 by 4 p.m. at the city offices.
