You can support the Girl Scouts on Friday, April 12, by eating at the Chelsea McDonald’s between 4-7 p.m.

Girl Scout troops are self-funded by parents paying dues to their troop, says Anita Mosier. However, many times those families are also struggling with tight budgets and can’t afford even $25 or $30 for the year.

To ensure that every girl who wants to participate in Chelsea Girl Scouts can afford it, we count on the generous support from the community and businesses.

Chelsea McDonald’s is supporting the Chelsea Girl Scouts’ scholarship program by donating 15 percent of all profits on Friday, April 12 from 4-7 p.m.

“We will have Chelsea Girl Scouts in McDonald’s, selling pies, cookies and shadowing some of the employees during those hours,” Mosier says.

Other Girl Scouts will be standing outside with signs advertising our fundraiser during those hours.

If you can’t make it but would like to donate directly to the scouts, please call Mosier at 734-717-3580.
