April 28: Sylvan Township Master Plan open house

Sylvan Township residents are invited to comment on the updating of the township’s Master Plan on Thursday, April 28 from 4-7 p.m. at township hall.

The Sylvan Township Planning Commission is in the process of updating the Master Plan and invite residents to participate with your thoughts and ideas on various topics in an informal format with stations providing maps and key themes regarding land use in the township.

Key topics include:

  • existing land uses
  • residential development opportunities
  • urban growth boundary
  • rural/agricultural preservation
  • commercial/industrial development opportunities
  • other/unique circumstances and uses in the community
  • water and sewer
  • development opportunities

The township plans to get community feedback in a person-to-person format and residents are asked to drop by any time during the open house.
