The Chelsea Farmers Market takes place each Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Palmer parking lot.

Chelsea Update is profiling vendors at the Chelsea Farmers Market and this week, it’s LA Baguette owned by Lisa Carolin and Suzanne Murray.

By Lisa Carolin

You can find fresh and delicious baguettes, rye-sesame boules, brioches, madeleines, savory and sweet tarts, and special dessert items at LA Baguette. Full disclosure: I am a partner in the company with baker extraordinaire and francophile Suzanne Murray.

La-Baguette-bread-1We started the business five years ago, and have been vendors at the Chelsea Farmers Market since, in part thanks to Suzanne’s volunteer work at the time with Chelsea Community Kitchen.

We have received a wonderful reception as well as great appreciation and loyalty from the Chelsea community.

Suzanne and I enjoy the relaxed setting, and the friendly and varied vendors we’ve had the pleasure to get to know.

Please let us thank you for reading Chelsea Update and for visiting LA Baguette by offering a free madeleine to anyone who comes to our stand and mentions this article.

Last week, many of the vendors were rained out of the market so there is no updated listing this week. This is their listing from last week.
