Beach Middle School football, volleyball sports recap

The 7th Grade Football team lost at Dexter Tuesday night, 32-12. The Bulldogs shutout the Dreadnaughts and outscored them by 12 in the second half.

Leading the Bulldogs rushing attack were Mason Pustay and Patrick Kelleher who each had rushing touchdowns. Riley Sumner also had some nice runs. Aidan Boote, Garrett Steele and Kyle Knight all ran the offense from the QB position.

Leading the defensive attack were Daniel Golding, Chris White, Shane Nold, and Josiah Fitch.

The 7th Grade Blue Volleyball team lost all three matches last night to Adrian, but played amazing defense and worked really well together as a team. Leading the team with service points were Madelynn Daggett-Bainton, Mariana Carpenter, and Lilly Caister.

The 8th Grade Blue Volleyball Team lost to Adrian last night. The team won one of the three matches.

Leading defenders for the game were Mallory Stribe, Peyton Lajiness and Marissa Fredette. Ali Boham was solid on her serving.Leading with service points were Stephanie Dark with 6, Hayley Townsend 6, Madeleine Kennedy 4, and Skylar Staton with 4 as well. The team looks forward to the tournament at Saline this Saturday.

The 8th Grade Gold Volleyball team dominated all three sets against Lincoln last night to win the match.

Caitlin Dusenbury served strongly for 13 points with 4 aces. Maddie Kemp had 2 kills and served for 6 points. Ali Muchler and Sammy Pagliarini each served for 6 points and had some great saves at the net. Lindsey Atkinson and Jamie Gorman played their best game of the season so far. The win was a great team effort from everyone.
