Beach Middle School volleyball recap

7th grade blue
The 7th grade blue volleyball team lost all 3 sets to a very tough Tecumseh team Wednesday night, 19-25, 7-25, 15-25.

Grace Ratliff led with 7 serve points, Emily Gagnon had 3, Kate Krugh 2, and Caroline Knight and Addie McCarthy each had 1.

Great passing and play at the net by Shelby Wheeler.

7th grade gold
The 7th grade gold volleyball team stung the Saline Hornets and won the match after a fierce battle.

The Bulldogs won the first set 25-17 and lost the second set 13-25. They had to play hard under pressure in the final set and came away with the win 25-20.

Sasha French and Charlotte Diesing were strong servers supported by their teammates excellent passing.

Emma Ward had nice passing and teamed up for a nice combo—a bump pass to Sasha French who set well for Carley Grabarcyzk to spike it over for a point.

The entire team provided good support to players on the court during the entire match.

8th grade blue
Chelsea’s 8th grade blue volleyball team rallied with Tecumseh taking the win 17 -25, 25-22, 25-23.

As a team, we dug in and won the last game to bring home the win.

We are 7 players strong and depend on knowing each other strong and weak points as a team.

Top servers were Anna Reisner with 21 points, Makaila Leonard with 5 and Kaylea Munson with 6.

It was good to see the team stay strong and battle for the win.

8th grade gold
Wednesday night, 8th grade gold volleyball lost its match against Saline dropping the first two sets and winning the third, 8-25, 17-25, and 25-15.

Meg Boughton led the team with serving 11 for the night, followed by Caitlin White with 7.

Madi Kay had a nice hit and block at the net.

Although the team struggled with serve receive, Ella Samon, Jessie Wesley, and Emilee Underwood all had at least one save or dig.

The team continues to improve each match.
