Centershot Archery Program Returns to Sharon UMC

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Darlene Schaffer for the information in this story.)

Sharon United Methodist Church invites you to take part in Centershot Archery Program, beginning Sunday, Oct. 9, from 2:30-4:00 p.m.

The group will meet Sunday afternoons for 6 weeks, ending Nov. 3 for ages 7 and up. Registration fee is $40 per participant. All instructors will be NASP trained Basic Archery Instructors. Each coach has up to 5 participants.

Participants will be introduced to the fastest growing sport in the United States. Archery is fun and safe. Research shows the only sport safer than archery is table tennis. Centershot combines the life-skill of archery and the gospel of Jesus. Participants learn the 11 steps to success in shooting a bow and arrow safely and accurately alongside the foundations for a life of faith.

Each session includes introduction to a skill, archery range shoot practice, devotional time and snack.

It will take place in the Fellowship Hall at Sharon United Methodist Church at the corner of M-52 and Pleasant Lake Road (19980 Pleasant Lake Road).

Registration deadline is Sept. 30.  You can register at: https://www.sharonumchurch.org/familyministries

Contact the church office for more information: (734) 428-0996.
