Chelsea Community Hospital was named one of the “100 Great Community Hospitals” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
According to a press release from the hospital, to compile this list, the Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team analyzed information, recognition and rankings from a variety of industry sources, including iVantage Health Analytics, Thomson Reuters, HealthGrades and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
For inclusion on this list, hospitals needed to have fewer than 550 patient beds and minimal teaching programs.
Community hospitals are a critical component to the American healthcare continuum, according to the release. These hospitals are often the anchors of health and employment within their communities, providing patients with top-quality care close to home. The following hospitals have demonstrated commitments to the health of their local population through clinical excellence, community involvement and various other efforts.
