Chelsea Kiwanis Club reviews committee expenses

The following is a rundown of the Chelsea Kiwanis Club’s expenses for the year, for four of eight committees:

  • Kiwanis International Project to Eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus – $2,895
  • Scholarships for children to attend Chelsea Preschool – $2,000
  • Support for school teachers of children at Mott Hospital – $1,800
  • Pumpkins for those children to decorate – $141
  • Easter Egg Hunt at CRC – $445
  • Support for Chelsea PTO – $534
  • Bring Up Grades Program at South School – $135
  • Punt, Pass and Kick Competition – $173
  • Sitting Tall Horseback Riding Program – $300
  • Library Summer Reading Program – $250
  • High School Key Club donation – $164
  • St. Louis Center Aktion Club – $60
  • Boys and Girls State – $1,350
  • Boy and Girl Scouts – $3.500
  • SRSLY – $600
  • 4-H Livestock Auction – $749
  • Support for K Kids, Builders, Key, and Circle K Clubs – $110
  • Circle K Club U of M – $300
  • Chelsea Athletic Boosters – $500
  • Chelsea Band Boosters – $300
  • Mr. Pedlow’s Gettysburg Trip – $600
  • Scout’s Eagle Project – $100
  • School District’s Skilled Trade Program – $100
  • High School Yearbook – $50
  • Dawn Farm – $600

Monday, the club will not meet but wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday.

Normally, the club meeting begins each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m. 

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to learn about Kiwanis.
