Chelsea Superintendent of Schools Andy Ingall announced Monday night, Aug. 26, that at that point, the district was down 22 or 23 students from last year, but there were still 24 or 25 parent packets that had not been returned.
He said he knew of a few students who had moved out of the district, but that he hoped that enrollment would be equal to last year.
“This is a lot better than it was in July; we were down 90 students at that point,” he said.
