The Chelsea Golf Team got the Season started with SEC play on Wednesday, April 18 at Inverness Country Club and came away with two wins.
Final score was Chelsea 168, Tecumseh 192, and Lincoln 253.
Scoring for the Bulldogs were Lucas Derosia with a 40, Tyler Emmert and Carter Derosia both shot 42, and Elijah King had a 44.
On Friday, April 20, the Bulldogs traveled to Marshall Country Club for the Marshall Invitational, and came away with a 3rd place finish among an 18-team field.
Leading the way again was Lucas Derosia with a fine 75. Austin Lyles and Sam Yax were next with a pair of 82’s, and Tim Lyons and Carter Derosia both shot 88.
“My goal was to break 340, so to shoot a score of 327 in the first tournament of the year, and finish 1 shot out of 2nd, and only 4 shots out of the lead, definitely exceeded my expectations,” the coach Joe Ewald said.
