Hatch Stamping Company opened a new sales office in the Middle Square Professional Building, at 134 West Middle St. Hatch manufactures automotive components for clients worldwide, and has facilities in Chelsea, Fowlerville, Howell, and Mexico.

Hatch Stamping, a Chelsea mainstay for years with facilities on Industrial Drive as well as Cleveland Street, was founded in 1952 by Raymond, Walter and Joseph Hatch. Their first big contract was to provide high volume parts to the Army that were used to produce parts for the M-1 rifle, according to the company website.

The sales offices were previously located in the Industrial Drive facility. Sales Manager Steve Emmert said the reason for the move was a matter of space. The new offices are nicely appointed, including a beautiful video conference room.

The Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the new office space on Thursday, July 10.
