The Washtenaw County Road Commission plans to close a portion of Island Lake Road in Dexter Township beginning Monday, Aug. 19 to add limestone to the road.
The closure, between Lima Center and Riker roads is expected to last three days, weather permitting.
During the closure, the recommended alternate route is North Territorial Road. Local traffic will be allowed to use the closed portion of the road, however.
To maintain the safety of road crews, The Road Commission asks motorists to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly.
