June 9: Be sure to check out The Lakehouse Bakery when you’re at the farmers market

By Lisa Carolin

There are some new vendors at the Saturday farmers market this season, and among them is The Lakehouse Bakery.

Owner Keegan Rodgers owns the bakery, which will soon be opening its brick and mortar location at 1534 Sugarloaf Lake Road, formerly the location of Mill Pond Bakery.

“We bake comfort food,” said Rodgers. “We offer things that make you feel relaxed like when you’re out at the lake.”

At the farmers market, The Lakehouse Bakery sells muffins, focaccia and breads, granolas, and a variety of cookies.

This week the market will feature the music of Loyce Huffman, and the children’s tent will focus on the subject of pollination.

There will be a large selection of plants as well as vegetables and herbs, and meat and cheese and baked goods.

The Saturday market runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the municipal parking lot by the library along Park Street.
