Road construction along M-52 continued its northern migration Wednesday in the Southtown area.
The $4-million Michigan Department of Transportation resurfacing project began at the I-94 interchange with ramp reconstruction and includes utility upgrades, curb and gutter and sidewalk installation.
Stretching 1.1 miles, the project is expected to continue through the fall.
A majority of the work is taking place at night and began along the east side of M-52, north of I-94. Curbs and gutters have been removed and some have been replaced, but driveways to businesses in the construction zone are open, enter carefully as they are graveled and bumpy.
