Green thumb workshop logo 2014The Garden Mill has a series of free workshops each Saturday in March beginning at 11 a.m., and reservations are recommended.

Rain Gardening, Saturday, March 15 at 11 a.m.

Rain gardens are a hot topic these days. Why? Because they can help conserve water, reduce mosquito breeding, protect rivers and streams, and improve water quality.

All this, and they look great, too. Master Gardener Mark VanBogelen will discuss all of the benefits of rain gardens, how to design your own, and what plants work best.

Michigan Wildflowers, Saturday, March 22, 11 a.m.

Take a virtual tour of native Michigan wildflowers through the seasons.  Learn about some of the best places to find the most beautiful plants right in your own “backyard.”

Divide and Conquer, Saturday, March 29, 11 a.m.

Are your flower beds overcrowded?

Is your creeping phlox creeping onto your sidewalk?

Stop by The Garden Mill for lots of tips on how, when, and what to do to with plants that have outgrown their current homes.

Reserve your spot today by calling The Garden Mill at 475-3539.
