On The Tracks Productions’ second season of unique concerts is underway bringing to Chelsea some of the finest regional and national songwriters who perform in The Depot, 125 Jackson St., the first Wednesday of the month through May, 2014.
According to information about the concerts, “Attendees were treated to lots of great songs while learning a little something about the art and craft of songwriting.”
Showtime is 7 p.m., and there is a minimum $15 donation.
In its second season, below is the line-up of the songwriters and performers from a variety of genres — ranging from traditional to modern, folk, pop, rock and blues.
- Tonight, Oct. 2 – Ben Bedford opening act Ben Hassenger
- Nov. 6 – Kitty Donohoe and David Barrett
- Dec. 4 – Joe Crookston opening act Caleb Lange
- Jan. 8 – Jan Krist and Jim Bizer
- Feb. 5 – Barb Barton and Billy Brandt
- March 5 – Red Tail Ring and Sam Corbin
- April 2 – Sue Fink and Allison Downey
- May 7 – Shari Kane & Dave Steele
What makes this series unique is our focus on the songwriting, according to organizers.
“We encourage our featured performers to share insight into their inspirations and methods, the practical and magical process by which their songs come to life,” according to the press release.
All proceeds from the concerts go to the performers.
