Please support Chelsea’s Sounds and Sights events

Surely you have attended at least one of the free Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights events during its 13-year-run in downtown Chelsea. Or perhaps enjoyed the chalk artists’ work, the pet parade or the KidZone during the Sounds and Sights Festival?

But did you know that there is a dedicated group of volunteers who plan, organize, and fundraise all of these free events?

Did you ever wonder how all of these fun summer concerts are made possible for you for free? Because individuals and businesses agree to be sponsors.

The Chelsea Area Festivals and Events Committee, the dedicated group of folks who make these special events happen, is raising funds to support the free, 11-week concert series, which takes place from June 7 to Aug. 16 this year, as well as the popular Sounds and Sights Festival on July 26, 27 and 28.

These open-air events are known for their variety of music, dance, comedy, art, film, and family entertainment, which contribute to Chelsea being a great place to live, work and visit.

The committee plans to celebrate the 14th anniversary of the Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights concert series and the 42nd anniversary of the Sounds and Sights Festival, by adding even more special events this summer.

Chelsea Area Festivals and Events (CAFE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization entirely supported by donations and sponsorships from businesses and people like you.
