Publisher’s message: gratitude and thank you to everyone

I have a three-fold reason for thanking this community this month.

So many of you took the time to wish me a happy birthday on Feb. 21 and I decided to give back to this community on my special day. I attended the Chelsea girls softball fundraiser and even won a silent auction item.

Thank you Bumble’s for supporting youth sports and I’m looking forward to growing cantaloupe from seeds this year in my little greenhouse.

Then it was off to St. Mary Church to play Bingo for the first time. Although my friends and I didn’t get any Bingos, two people at the end of our table did, so that was fun, and the entire room sang Happy Birthday to me.

And, on March 1, I celebrated Buzz. It was his 7th birthday. I love this little dog to the moon and back and he got a special gift — gloves. Why gloves of all things, you might ask? Because he’s training for an obedience class called Utility and one of the exercises involves sending him to retrieve a white gardening glove. Since the ones I had here were old and nasty, I decided he deserved brand new ones.

And thirdly, thank you so much to the following people and organizations that have made recent donations to the continued 7-day-a-week publication of Chelsea Update.
