Daniel Dean “Danny” Maurer of Grass Lake, age 64, passed away at the University of Michigan Hospital on Nov. 21, 2015, surrounded by his family.
He was born the son of Russell and Virginia (Bender) Maurer on Feb. 5, 1951.
On July 9, 1983 he married Monica Harat and she survives. Danny served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His family meant the world to him and he would do anything for them. He was a very happy go lucky man who had a positive outlook on life. He enjoyed watching TV, listening to the radio and playing the drums. Danny loved his jeans and new Nike shoes. Danny was a man of his work and loved his job at and the people of St. Mary Catholic Church.
