Plenty of pumpkins and gourds are now available at the Chelsea Farmers Markets, perfect for both decorating and eating.
Come visit the market Wednesday to see the variety of apples – Cortland, Empire, Macintosh, Paula Reds, Honey Crisp, and Galas are among the choices. Apple cider is available now too.
You’ll also find raspberries, pears, and plums, as well as tomatoes, corn, eggplant, zucchini, green beans, peppers and more.
Fresh baked cookies, cakes, and breads will also be for sale.
The Chelsea Wednesday Farmers Market is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52. It runs from 1-5 p.m.
There is a regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.
