With about a dozen people in the audience, the Sylvan Township Board discussed the following items at the Feb. 4 meeting:
- After attending the Michigan Township Association Conference Jan. 28-31, the issue was raised that Sylvan Township does not have a flag, and discussion has begun about having a contest to design a flag.
- Video recording of board meetings was discussed, as was audio recording.
- The board unanimously approved a motion to direct staff to prepare a revision to the water and sewer ordinances, which may require a revision to the water and sewer district.
- Scott Pacheco will be compensated for additional township duties, utilizing his planning expertise.
- The annual budget approval meeting was scheduled for March 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Sylvan Township Hall.
