During this group discussion, participants will explore the connections between our health, the health of our communities, and the health of our planet.

Designed by the Northwest Earth Institute, participants will learn about the limitations of the current medical model and the places where our personal health intersects with the environment—from our food and homes, to our communities and society.

Together, we discover actions that promote good health and in turn, promote a healthier environment.

Each session is built around a set of readings from the NWEI course book, with rotating facilitation by course participants – ourselves. The course is hosted by Michigan Friends Center and offered in partnership with Transition Town Chelsea.

Your registration covers all six sessions, or as many sessions as you are able to attend. Also included, yours to keep, is the beautiful Northwest Earth Institute course book full of thought provoking essays and articles written by authors with real expertise in the areas of health and ecology — including many names that you may already know. Above that, it is our group discussion that really brings the material to life.
