During the last couple of months, readers may have noticed that I wasn’t at some meetings, missed some stories, and wasn’t publishing as much information on Chelsea Update as I normally do.
I responded to folks personally who inquired about what was going on, but thought I should explain what happened to everyone. I was battling some very painful back issues this summer and it took a toll on my ability to get around and to concentrate. Anyone who has suffered from back issues can tell you, when your back is behaving badly, nothing is normal or easy to do. It’s horrible.
But I pushed through August and the Chelsea Community Fair, which is my most busy time of year, and I have finally recovered. This week, Chelsea Update was back (no pun intended) to being on top of All the News That’s Fit to Post about Chelsea.
If you get the free daily newsletter you’ve seen, there’s been lots and lots and lots of news. And yes, I’ve still been slower than normal getting back to folks and I am still playing catch up, but I’m getting there.
Life as I know it, and news as readers know it, has returned. Kinda like these wonderful crisp cooler temperatures and school starting.
So with that, I’d like to catch up with thanking all the folks who supported Chelsea Update in the last few months and remind everyone that at this one-person news operation — and despite my health issues — news was covered, the site never went dark, and I pushed through each news day the best I could.
Hopefully, folks will continue to support my efforts by supporting Chelsea Update with their donations either via Paypal or by check made out to Chelsea Update and mailed to 18829 Bush Road, Chelsea MI 48118.
