Winners of the Kiwanis Punt Pass and Kick revealed

The winners from our Punt, Pass and Kick competition are as follows:
Boys:
6-7 years – 1st place Nathan Paul, 2nd place James Radu, 3rd place Gabryel Choi
8-9 years – 1st place Jack Fischer, 2nd place Daniel Fisk, 3rd place Thomas Shemwell
10-11 yrs. – 1st place Hunter Shaw, 2nd place Travis Shemwell, 3rd place Jared Atkinson
12-13 yrs. – 1st place Zeke Dubiel, 2nd place Henry Lantis, 3rd place Aiden McGuire
14-15 yrs. – no entries

Girls:
6-7 years – no entries
8-9 years – 1st place Ella Day, 2nd place Karlie VanRemortel
10-11 yrs. – 1st place Aleya Smith, 2nd place Isabella Barkey
12-13 yrs. – no entries
14-15 yrs. – no entries

First place winners are eligible to compete in the sectional on Oct. 4 in Saline. Winners then progress to a Lions game at Ford Field and the national competition at an NFL Divisional Playoff Game in January.

We thank our 60+ participants and their parents for attending. This was triple the competitors from our last local event thanks to Chelsea PTO President Aubree Shemwell, who spread the word to families.

Sunday, Kiwanis we will be conducting our final Adopt a Highway pickup for 2015 on both sides of I-94 between Freer and Pierce roads.

On Monday our speaker will be Chelsea Update publisher Lisa Allmendinger, who will be asked how she covers all the going’s on in Chelsea so well.

The meeting begins at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy-Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the meetings to learn about Kiwanis.
