2022 the Year to Join the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce

If you own a local business and you’ve not done so already, 2022 is the perfect year to join the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber provides hundreds of business referrals to its members and manages and oversees the www.Chelseamich.com website, which reaches an average of 10,000 views each month, according to Executive Director Terris Ahrens.

And the chamber has a hand in a number of showcase events in Chelsea thanks to the planning and leadership of chamber staff and its volunteer board of directors.

These events include: Hometown Holiday in December, Hometown Halloween and the Backyard Beer Garden in October, Sweet $aver Saturdays that takes place year-round, curling, business breakfasts, a golf outing, chamber member after hours events and more.

With its new visitor center downtown, the chamber provides a landing spot for people to find information about Chelsea’s vibrant business community, its events and festivals. Membership in the chamber affords you the ability to provide information to folks who stop by the center looking for information.

The chamber also oversees three community awards – the Lifetime Achievement, Citizen of the Year and the Business Leadership, which are celebrated yearly in May.

Joining the chamber offers you and your business increased visibility, the opportunity to become a sponsor for Chelsea events and festivals, and gives people a greater sense of confidence to know that your business is part of a group that is promoting Chelsea and all of its many small-town benefits.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with the business community as we endeavor to maintain Chelsea as the premier place to live, work, and recreate,” Ahrens said.

In addition, the chamber is now producing and distributing the Chelsea Visitor Guide & Community Profile, staff facilitates business spotlight interviews, and provides free vendor space to members during community events.
