Chelsea State Bank Announces Four Promotions

Chelsea State Bank, a Detroit Free Press Top Workplace, announces four promotions approved by the Board of Directors during their April 2024 meeting.

Mark Stevens was promoted to Banking Officer. Stevens began his career at Chelsea State Bank in December 2022 as a Business Relationship Manager.

During his time with the bank, Mark completed and was the top performer of the rigorous credit analysis program curriculum accredited by Community Bankers of Michigan. He is the former president and business owner of a packaging manufacturing company and wholesale/retail company in Jackson, and brings 30+ years of practical business ownership experience to the bank and its customers.

Teresa Beegle was promoted to Assistant Vice President. Beegle is the Compliance, BSA, and CRA Officer for Chelsea State Bank.  She has been with Chelsea State Bank for almost eight years.

During her time at the bank, she has earned five promotions. She began as a Customer Service Representative, then Loan Operations Specialist, Marketing Specialist, and Compliance Specialist, and now she oversees the bank’s compliance with State and Federal Regulations.

In 2023, Teresa received the Rising Star Award from the Community Bankers of Michigan (CBM).

Angie Cavanaugh was promoted to Vice President. She is the Credit Services Manager and oversees loan operations at the bank.  Cavanaugh has more than 30 years of banking experience including real estate management, operations, credit analysis, residential and commercial lending.

Jessica Stubbs CPA, was promoted to Executive Vice President.  She is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer for Chelsea State Bank.

Stubbs joined CSB in 2011 as an Assistant Vice President and Compliance Officer. She was promoted to Vice President in 2014, Chief Financial Officer in 2017 and Senior Vice President in 2020.
