7-0: Chelsea Girls tennis so far this season

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Matt Pedlow for the information in this summary.)

Following my week off, here’s a recap of the Chelsea Girls’ tennis matches thanks to Head Coach Matt Pedlow.

Chelsea beat Riverview 7-1 to go to 5-0 on the season.

Then the team took on Monroe and won 5-3 to remain undefeated for the season. Winning for Chelsea was Katie Lee at 2 singles, and all of the doubles teams.

“Our doubles continue to play great tennis and provided the wins again for us,” the coach said, while at No. 2 singles,  Lee took 3 sets against a very tough opponent and came through with the victory, he said, adding that her quad muscle has been really bothering her but she’s played through the pain.

Chelsea then beat Lincoln, 7-1, to improve to 7-0.

And earlier this week, the Bulldogs beat rival Dexter, 7-1.
