At the fair: Hog winners

Jack McCalla took grand champion individual hog at the 76th Annual Chelsea Community Fair, but that’s not all.

He also won the youth showmanship class and was the youth records winner.

His 290-pound pig was purchased for $5.50 per pound by Jeff Klink.

Reserve champion pig went to Jacob Kern. His 276-pound pig was purchased for $5 per pound by Key West Vacation Rental.

Amanda Breuninger took grand champion pair and her pigs, which weighed 220 and 230 pounds respectively, were bought for $4.25 per pound by North Face Farms.

Zeke Breuninger won reserve champion pair and his pigs weighed in at 255 and 299 pounds respectively and were bought for $7.75 per pound by Bob and Carol Breuninger. In addition, he won the senior showmanship class.

Victor Burchett was the junior records winner while Amy Gilbert was the senior record winner.

MacKenzie Herrst was the rate of gain winner and Carter Kern took the young showmanship class.

Savanna Burchett was the intermediate records winner.

Ryan Trinkle was the junior showmanship winner and Russell Timmerman took the intermediate showmanship top honor.
