Be sure to mark your calendar for the Aberdeen Bike & Outdoors clinic and speaker series on the first and third Thursdays of the month from November through March.
The series takes place at the store near the post office from 6-8 p.m.
“Learn stuff; do stuff; meet interesting people and hang out with other folks who like to do the same,” according to information about the popular series.
The store’s winter clinic and speaker series returns on Nov. 7 with a Roadside Repair clinic featuring one of Aberdeen’s esteemed technicians. He’ll show you how to make the best of a bad situation when something breaks on a ride.
Then on Nov. 21, Dexter’s Alexey Vermeulen will be the featured speaker. He’ll share tales from his first full season as a professional cyclist.
Looking ahead, December’s speaking lineup includes a basic maintenance clinic and a visit by Rob Pulcipher, author of Dirt Road Washtenaw and the upcoming release Best Bike Rides Detroit and Ann Arbor: Great Recreational Rides in Southeast Michigan.
