Chelsea varsity lacrosse riding 5-game winning streak

Chelsea varsity lacrosse traveled to Ypsilanti Lincoln on Friday, May 2 and left with a 8-6 victory.

The Bulldogs came out fast scoring 2 goals in the first minute of the game putting up a 3-goal first quarter.

Lincoln would hold Chelsea to only one goal in the second quarter while scoring 3 goals of their own making the score 4-3 at half-time.

Chelsea then continued on with a 7-5 lead after 3 quarters.  The fourth quarter would end with each team notching a goal.

Chris Hudson and Christian Clippert each had 2 goals while Baily Weatherwax, Austin Freeman, and Jonah Bogarin had one goal each.

Dustin Beckett had 6 saves in goal.

Chelsea then traveled to Swartz Creek coming home with a 15-7 victory.

Clippert lead the Bulldogs with 5 goals while Hudson had 3. Bogarin notched 2 goals while Mike Beneteau, Devon Conti, Weatherwax, and defenseman Dominic Goderis each had a goal.

Beckett was in goal with 12 saves.

Chelsea will try to continue its 5-game winning streak when it takes on SEC rival Tecumseh tonight away at 7 p.m.
