Reminder: Chelsea State Bank to host Financial Health Fair May 13

Chelsea State Bank will host a Financial Health Fair Saturday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the bank’s Plaza Office parking lot located at 1010 S. Main St.

The Financial Health Fair is open to everyone and will include partners from the Wellness Center and 5 Healthy Towns.

Everyone can visit booths to learn more about savings and investments, elder abuse prevention, cybersecurity and using the Internet, mobile banking, the Wellness Center and more.

“We began to create this event when the Wellness Center started their campaign to promote their 5 Healthy Towns,” said Chelsea State Bank Chief Executive Officer John Mann. “We decided to have this community event to promote financial health in our communities. Financial wellness starts with an understanding of how savings and investments can best be fostered and grown.”

There will be a grand prize drawing to win a One-Year Membership to the Wellness Center along with a second prize to win a three-month membership and a third prize to win three 30-minute massages. Along with free chair massages and other giveaways, the Kiwanis Truck will be on site with free Chicken Vienna Dogs, popcorn, ice tea and lemonade.

“As the local community bank, we believe healthy communities promote healthy lifestyles,” said Mann. “Financial health and protection is critical to a person’s overall well-being. We will use this event to talk about our services, along with other things consumers can do to protect their financial well-being. We have invited other community partners to join us in our efforts.”
