The staff of Ann Arbor’s #1, independently owned appliance repair company, Master Tech Appliance Service have found a new future with Heydlauff’s Appliances effective May 1, 2023. The retirement of Master Tech’s owner has made it possible for their team of experts to join the Heydlauff’s team. Heydlauff’s growing retail appliance business includes expert appliance sales and support, professional delivery and installation, and now, extensive appliance service.

Bill Henderson, owner of Master Tech Appliance Service, acquired Master Tech with his father and brother in 2005. The company had earned a reputation for fast, friendly, and reliable appliance repair. According to Henderson, an important aspect of this transition will be the assurance that his prior career employees will be working with good people.

“We have known Heydlauff’s for years and are fortunate to establish an opportunity for our employees to work in a high quality environment while they continue to provide exceptional appliance repair.”

Service technicians Dennis Conner, John Erickson, Curt Brittain, and Giovanni Mautone, with over 100 years of combined service experience, will join Heydlauff’s technician, Mark Bowdish. They will work out of Heydlauff’s warehouse and downtown retail facilities and become an integral part of their team.

Keri Bennett, a 23-year veteran of Master Tech, will oversee the service department at Heydlauff’s. Products purchased from Heydlauff’s will be prioritized on the schedule, and technicians will also make repairs on appliances purchased elsewhere.

Heydlauff’s are pleased to have enough experienced technicians to offer this option. Heydlauff’s service department can be reached directly at 734-662-0641.

“This expands our opportunities to provide customer service,” said Jake Heydlauff. “Good appliance advice and repair are difficult to find. Providing this valuable service is the sort of thing we like to do to distinguish ourselves.”

Heydlauff, along with Ben Kellogg, and Jason Aguirre acquired Heydlauff’s Appliance in 2021.
