April 1: Chelsea Education Foundation college scholarship applications available

cef logoThe Chelsea Education Foundation will begin accepting online applications for college scholarships at its website, www.chelseaeducationfoundation.org, on Tuesday,  April 1 and continue through Tuesday, April 22.

Scholarships are awarded in several specific areas of study, including engineering, nursing, teaching, entrepreneurship, culinary arts, and other fields, as well as general service and merit awards. All are chosen at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee of the CEF Board of Directors, and all are presented at the Chelsea High School’s annual Class Night, which this spring will be held on Friday, May 30.

Thanks to individuals and businesses throughout the community, the CEF was able to raise more than $20,000 at its gala fundraiser in February. Those funds, combined with the proceeds of long-term endowments and investments, will be awarded to students ranging from young adults just graduating from Chelsea High School to non-traditional students seeking a career change.

Learn more about the scholarship application process, donate to support this worthy cause, or offer to share your time and talent as a board member in service to lifelong education at www.chelseaeducationfoundation.org or connect with us on Facebook at  https://www.facebook.com/ChelseaEducationFoundation.
