The 8th annual Chelsea Spring Expo is back with even more vendors, goodies, and activities for all ages.

More than 130 different vendors will be on display at the Washington Street Education Center on Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m.– 3 p.m. with information, samples, and products for sale. Come find out what your community has to offer and enjoy free goodie bags and door prizes.

And, be sure to stop by the ultimate bake sale offered by the Chelsea Senior Center for homemade pies, hot cross buns, and other delicious treats to celebrate Easter.

There’s free admission and parking, and it’s a fun day and a fun way to explore your community.

“Every year that we organize this event, we enjoy giving back to our community and learning something new about it,” says event co-chairman Rod Payne.

As the event organizer, the Chelsea Senior Center engages community partners and volunteers of all ages to make this family friendly event a huge success. Throughout the day, a KidZone sponsored by SRSLY will offer fun and creative activities including face painting, make your own greeting card, clowns, and free train rides courtesy of Little Conductors.

Adding to the family fun will be a real fire truck for kids of all ages to check out from 1-3 p.m.

Not to be missed are free musical performances starting at noon performed by students and instructors from the Chelsea Center for the Arts (CCA), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

“We have so many talented students and instructors and we’re very excited to showcase them at this annual community event,” says Anne Williams, CCA interim director, in a press release.

This Chelsea Spring Expo draws over 1,000 attendees from all age groups.

Bob Pierce, executive director of the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce supports the event every year. “The Expo offers a fabulous venue to showcase your business to a broad demographic of consumers. It’s also a great event to welcome spring,” he said in a press release.

All exhibits will be indoors, so rain or shine, plan to meet your friends, bring your family and join us at the Washington Street Education Center at 500 Washington St.

A terrific lunch menu will also be available, so bring the family for a fun afternoon and come celebrate spring and Easter.

Special thanks to our 2014 Gold Sponsors Chelsea Community Hospital, Chelsea State Bank, Silver Maples, and United Methodist Retirement Communities.

This event is also sponsored by Chelsea Hometown Pharmacy and State Farm Insurance, with support from the Chelsea School District.
