April 6: Learn about life in a beehive from Jane Levy

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Kathy Claflin for the information in this story.)

On Sunday, April 6, you can learn about life in a beehive from 2-3 p.m. at the Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center.

Are you curious about the remarkable world of honeybees?

Beekeeper and educator Jane Levy will show you how bees work together to make honey and why they do it.

Ages 6 and up will enjoy this program, and children will have a chance to wear a beekeeper’s suit.  Afterward, Levy will be available to discuss setting up your own hive.

The cost is $2 per person or $5 for a family.

The Discovery Center, 17030 Bush Road, is in Sylvan Township.

Advance registration requested at 475-3170.
