At the fair: some interesting sights from opening day

The demolition derby crowd stands for the National Anthem.

As the 75th Annual Chelsea Community Fair kicked off its week, here are some random photos from this fun, family-oriented summer event.

Some of the kiddie parade winners with their blue ribbons.

The sheep were being groomed or relaxing before their competition.

  1. What memories these photos bring back. As a member of the CHS FFA group in the mid fifties, and living across the street from the fairgrounds I enjoyed lots of involvement during FAIR WEEK. Of course then Fair Week was Wednesday through Saturday!

    Thanks for your work
