Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chelsea, continues its free summer concert series Thursday, Aug. 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Professional artists perform at 11 staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring live music and family entertainment.

The diverse music lineup celebrates the concert series 11th anniversary and includes the venerated Bowdish Brothers performing music with Americana roots at Katie’s Korner on the library lawn. The South street stage features Seven Bridges’ mix of classic rock, pop and country and the East Alley stage showcases acoustic performer Justin Brandt.

On the west side of Main Street, between Chelsea Print and Graphics and The Potting Shed on Main, 3 Generations Twisters create unique balloon animals for the kids.

Salmagundi returns with powerful classic rock and soul on the East Middle Street stage. About a block further on Main Street, pop-indie duo Delbert Walling & Haley Smith perform at Sylvan Courtyard.

Just past the iconic Clocktower, The Webbs showcase folk and country on the Glazier Building stage. Following the path from the Glazier Building to the Clocktower Gazebo, you will find Dorkestra, a diverse group of musician who combine Jazz, African, Latin, World and Funk into a unique eclectic repertoire.

The kids stage, located in the Clocktower Courtyard, presents face painting by Dee Dee the Clown and Face Painting Robot.

The music continues down to the Chelsea Alehouse Brewery, with Singer-songwriter Dave Boutette.

Visitors are also invited to explore SculptureWalk Chelsea, a self-guided tour of 12 sculptures located throughout downtown Chelsea.

Each week there is a photo contest on Instagram encouraging viewers to take a “selfie” with the sculptures and post them with the tag #SWalkSelfie. Visit here for details.

After Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, SRSLY Cinema presents free outdoor movies at dusk. This week, SRSLY presents “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” (PG).
