Beach Middle School basketball results from Nov. 20

The 7th grade gold boys’ basketball team defeated Monroe by a score of 23-18 Wednesday, Nov. 20. Ben Brown led the scorers with 13 points. Sam Yax scored 6 points, Tobin Moore had 4 points, and Corbin Munson and Max Gervais had 2 each. The next game is Tuesday at home vs. Saline.

The 7th grade blue basketball team lost last night to Bedford, 14-8.  Playing well for the Bulldogs were Alex Sanborn, Brandon Doyle, Grant Barrett, James Mida, Noah Holton and Jeret Hirst. They are improving each game and will visit Ypsilanti Tuesday.

The 8th grade gold team fought its way to a hard-earned 23-17 come-from-behind win at Monroe last night. Matthew Klink had a stellar performance with 10 points, while Chris Roush led the team in rebounds. Drew Anstead also contributed a season-high 6 points, and Cam Cooper left the Monroe fans in awe after a “number” of steals and 7 fourth-quarter points. The Dawgs return to action Tuesday versus Saline.

The 8th grade blue basketball team lost last night to Bedford, 31-18. Alex Vasquez led the scoring with 10 points. Ryan Mitchell had 5 points and Nyck Udell had 4 points.
