Beach Middle School football season underway

8 Gold
The 8th grade Gold team lost to Monroe Tuesday night.

Offensively, Mason Meads and Max Herter ran the ball effectively, with strong upfront blocking from Andrew Bowles, Luke Anstead, and David Eder.

Defensively, Myles Bieber, Logan Eckhout, and Nando Hermosillo played a hard-hitting game.

7 Blue
The 7th grade blue football team lost to a good Saline team Tuesday night.

On offense, Ethan Povlich had a few nice runs and Jack Fischer had some great catches.

Defensively, Bo Strong played a fantastic game and he led the team in tackles and had an interception.

On special teams, Jimmy Sciackitano had a 50-yard punt.

The 7th grade blue team takes on Bedford at home Tuesday.

8 Blue
Tuesday night, the 8th Grade Blue team fell to Saline 28-6.

The Bulldogs played hard but were not able to overcome a couple costly mistakes. The Dawgs scored in the second quarter when Regan Plank scored on a 30+ yard touchdown run. Thomas Shemwell ran the ball well and helped the offense move the ball on several drives.

The defense played tough all game and made several good stops. Plank, Shemwell, Mason Poulter, and Jonathan Shemwell led the defense by making hard hits throughout the game.

Nich Vosters was one player who played with great effort throughout the game.  Tuesday, the Bulldogs host the Bedford Kicking Mules for its home opener.

7 Gold
The 7th grade gold team hosted Monroe and lost 38-6 Tuesday night.

After a rough 1st half the Dawgs settled down and played a solid 2nd half. Richard Montoye scored the lone touchdown on a 50+ yard scamper while Calvin Decker and William McCalla also had positive plays on offense.

Defense had a few great tackles and even forced a late turnover.

The Bulldogs are ready to improve and will face Ypsilanti Lincoln next week.
