The Beach Middle School girls cross country team placed 3rd out 27 teams this weekend at the Hudson Booster Invitational.
The 4th and 5th runners Cedar Hughes and Brooke Matusik, respectively, gave solid performances, which helped the team earn a trophy. Other highlights: Izzy Barkey improved her PR by almost two minutes and Amanda Dosey ran close to her PR on a tough course.
The beach Middle School boys cross country team placed 8th out of 27 teams. The top three runners for the team were Jonas Norwood, Jacob Andreski, and Lucas Hopkins who also all medaled.
Other highlights: Josh Fansler continues to improve each meet and Stephen Levine improved his personal record (PR) by 45 seconds.
Middle School SEC Jamboree #3 takes place at Huron Meadows on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
