On Monday, March 14, Boy Scout Troop 425 celebrated its 90th birthday with a party at the Chelsea Rod and Gun Club.
The program started with a Court of Honor, where the current scouts received their rank advancements and merit badges, continued with scoutmasters and former scoutmasters sharing memories. There was recognition of all Eagle Scouts present, and finally the boys sharing some favorite memories.
At the end, there were snacks and refreshments and time for people to mingle and talk.
Jerry Milliken brought a collection of scout memorabilia including photos, patches, and rosters of the troop (including a lot of prominent Chelsea names).
(Publisher’s note: Members of the troop are expected to attend the Chelsea City Council meeting Monday night to receive a special proclamation from the city.)
