The Chelsea Area Construction Agency (CACA) recently received its third Pillar Award for Outstanding Governmental Agency from the Builders & Remodelers Association of Greater Ann Arbor.

In the 12 years since CACA was formed, the agency has won a Pillar Award three times — in 2002, 2006 and its most recent, on Nov. 7, 2012.

The construction agency issues building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permits, and performs all of the inspections on any new construction, covering the areas of the City of Chelsea, Sylvan, Dexter, Lima, Lyndon and Sharon townships.

In the courtesy photo are from left to right, are Chelsea residents Earl Heller (electrical inspector), Bruce Connell (building official, building inspector and plumbing inspector), Carol Morrow (office manager), and Danny Henson (mechanical inspector).
