Chelsea boys track season ends with surprising 6-1 record

(Chelsea Update would like to thank coach Eric Swager for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea boys Track and Field Team finished its season 6-1 after defeating Ypsilanti but losing to Pinckney following a truncated meet that had several events rained out.

“If you would have told me that at the start of the season, I would have thought you were nuts,” said coach Eric Swager of his young squad’s record this year.

“This young group of guys has performed well throughout,” he said.

Some highlights:

Carson Rabbitt was a triple winner, knocking off a tough Pinckney runner in both the 800 and 1600 with his vicious kick.

Aiden McGuire scored his first varsity points with a nice 133′ discus heave

Brennan Van Riper had a fine effort against some tough sprinters.

We had a couple more kids qualify for regionals in the 3200 run.

The team finishes off the season today at home when the Bulldogs host the SEC finals meet.

Everyone is invited to watch the Bulldogs compete for the league title.
