(Publisher’s note: The 2014 Chelsea Community Fair coverage begins today. Check Chelsea Update for new stories every day through the end of fair. The 77th annual event takes place Aug. 19-23.)

There’s still time to enter your horse or pony at the 77th Annual Chelsea Community Fair, which takes place from Aug. 19-23, if you are 19 or younger.

Those who live in the Chelsea or Dexter School districts and those who entered last year will be given priority but those from other areas will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

So far, 20 horses are entered, which means that there are 20 more stalls available, according to Lucy Heimerdinger, superintendent.

Entries have been extended to Aug. 9, and there are classes for horse or pony walk-trot-canter, lead line, showmanship, equitation, pleasure, bareback, reining, halter classes and more.

For more information, the fair book can be found here or call Heimerdinger at 355-1980.
